Things you should prepare for before joining the French Foreign Legion.

At the center of selection of the French Foreign Legion, nothing Garance you will be selected to integrate the ranks of the legionaries.

Even if you pass all the basic tests successfully, they are a number of variables that will come into play and determine whether you must be kept or returned to civilian life with negligence to apply again within three months of your dismissal. or be deemed ineligible.

These factors are:

Current recruitment needs of the foreign legion

Your global physical and mental profile

Your personal story and your motivation

These are things that no candidate can really affect and no matter if they could, in my days,  saw the selection board bring the most strange choices.

I have seen some of the most motivated and most stable mental guys being cut in favor of children who have then cried in front of everyone because their feet are blumed while breaking in their boots ...

However, the only thing you can optimize is your fitness, which will be tested and must meet certain minimum requirements.

You have to :

Being able to run at least 2800 meters in 12 minutes

To be able to do at least 8 entirely extended (all the way down and down)

The Cooper test (which consisted of completing at least 2800 m in 12 minutes) was replaced by a test called "Luc Light" or multi-step fitness test (the "Bleep Test").

During this test, the minimum requirement to be considered sufficiently user-friendly for the legion to mark a 7.

Of course, many guys participating in the selection course are monsters of physical prowess and everyone competes for a rare place, the better you can play, better your chances are at least on this aspect.

To tell you the truth, during my first attempt to enroll, I failed the Cooper Test SameHough I was also fit as a marathon runner and very young ... I was sent to the house with a Discount to try again after three months, returned and completed this test brilliantly the second time.

I would like to remind you to think basically if you really want to enlist you in the French foreign legion. It's not for everyone and there are very serious consequences for this choice ...

If you are young and adventurous and athletic, they are numerous things on this land, you may be able to accomplish in your quest rather than being a soldier paying for the sale of another nation ...
