Spain is a microcosm of all things beautiful in life: Fiery food, flamenco, family, friends, football, and fun. A burst of sprightly Spanish flavor, whether in the tango, enchiladas, or sangria, is as tangy as it is riveting.
Sanguine Spain has beautiful regions with catchy names- Andalusia, Aragon, Catalonia, Galicia, Madrid, Valencia, among others, along with the Islas (islands), Ibiza, Mallorca, and Canarias!
It’s sunshine and smiles in a cornucopia, with its sweetness and salt in good measure for that perfect taste, that lingers in your mind after the food is long gone. It’s also that memorable aftertaste.
Barcelona was the first city we visited. A true pilgrimage for football fans, Camp Nou is exhilarating. We also saw people enjoying evenings on tree-lined avenues, and the city symbolizes the same values as its home football team- the veritable spirit of togetherness.
Barcelona also offers an amazing opportunity for a day trip to Andorra- a beautiful micro-nation nestled in the Pyrenees! The landscape is enchanting and the capital city Andorra La Vella is cozy and warm
Oh, and Madrid- It is lively and bubbly and possesses a truly unique charm. It is also a paradise for shopping and strolling the city roads, alleys, and walkways. Its chocolatiers are decadence and heaven rolled into one.
After visiting these cities in mainland Spain, we embarked to Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, a part of the Canary Islands. Located off the coast of Northwestern Africa, it’s a potpourri of Spanish culture mingled with the culture of other settlers. It has a beautiful beach, Playa de Las Canteras, and the water is a splash of turquoise and azure!
Do feel free to reach out to me if you wish to visit Spain / Andorra and need any suggestions absolutely (such as modes of travel, food, accommodation- anything really!)
