Why Croatia become a touristic hot spot?

Well, there is an increase in the popularity of all Balkan countries, not just Croatia. The capitals and the most attractive sites of neighboring countries probably have more tourists than ever before.

But Croatia is popular mainly of the Adriatic Sea and good weather. National parks are also popular, as well as all the largest cities on the coast (especially Split and Dubrovnik), the capital, Zagreb (an excellent destination all year), and some cities from the inner part of the country.

Neighbors and tourists from Central Europe have been regular guests for decades when Croatia was part of Yugoslavia. The thing that has changed is the fact that there is a sharp increase in tourists from other parts of the world, including Asia, North and South America and more distant European countries. Advertising has certainly helped a lot. Many foreign magazines often describe Croatia as a hidden gem that awaits to be discovered.

Other things that could help attract tourists are:

Natural beauties preserved

many historical sites

Quality food with local ingredients (especially fruits, vegetables, fish and pela - a type of dish with meat)

Good infrastructure (new high-level lanes, many renovated and newly built hotels, private accommodation, camps)

A rich offer of interesting activities (Novalja clubs, new museums, organized sailing trips, dolphin tours, amusement parks, diving and sailing courses ...)

Set of thrones

Security (a low crime rate)
